Information We Collect
When you send a booking request through our website, we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), preferred contact method, and trip details such as your preferred safari, date, number of guests, pickup location (accommodation name, area and, if you choose to give it, room number), any optional add-ons and any special requests. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address (if you give one) and your message.
If you contact us on WhatsApp instead, we receive your phone number and the messages you send us.
When you submit a form, our website also records some technical details with your submission: your IP address, your browser type (user agent), the page you submitted the form from, and the date and time.
How We Use Your Information
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, confirm availability and pricing, arrange your pickup, and communicate with you about your safari. We do not use your information for any other purpose.
How Your Information Is Stored
Form submissions are saved in our website’s database (WordPress) on our hosting server. A copy of each submission is also sent by email to Red Dunes Adventure and to our website administrator, so that we can respond to you. These email inboxes are provided by Google (Gmail).
WhatsApp Communication
If you choose to continue your enquiry on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, in addition to ours.
Cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure visits to our website and the performance of our advertising. These tools may set cookies in your browser and send information about your visit — such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your IP address — to Google and Meta, who handle it under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. Your details are shared only where needed to provide your safari — for example, your pickup location with your driver.
Third-Party Services
Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and our homepage shows Google reviews through a widget provided by Trustindex, which also loads reviewer images from Google. When your browser loads these items, it connects to those providers’ servers, so they receive technical information such as your IP address. They handle that information under their own privacy policies.
